Description
OTE offers art appraisals services nationwide as well as in London, Geneva, Paris, Berlin, Dusseldorf, Amsterdam and Athens, as well as collaborative art expertise globally. Known as experts in damage/loss reports and in the estates of artists such as Andy Warhol, Roy Lichtenstein, Jean-Michel Basquiat, Dennis Oppenheim, Louise Nevelson and numerous others, OTE offers services encompassing all aspects of art – including consultations on complex issues such as Fair Rental Value of art held in trusts and leased back by the collector, fractional discounting of art in estates, bulk art sales, blockage discounts, etc. Security is guaranteed to clients through OTE’s vetted systems. Integrity, transparency and experience characterize the work of OTE.
OTE is known for its scholarly appraisals that are equally market savvy and highly innovative. While it is standard practice for professional appraisers to produce appraisals for insurance, fair market, equitable distribution, charitable contribution, firms that create reports that provide new and innovative approaches to valuation in ways acceptable to government agencies are very few and far between, yet that is the brand of OTE and has been for several decades. OTE clients do not receive formulaic appraisals. Each OTE appraisal undergoes careful review after it is turned in by the appraiser, and the information provided includes analyses of value found. Not only does OTE adhere to The Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP), but it also follows the standards of The American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and the international organization The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
